Week 8 Instructional Strategies

Hi Friends~
This week we will be focusing on another executive function skill called Task Initiation.  Task Initiation is ability for students to stay on task and is greatly influenced by impulse control, perseverance, and cognitively flexibility.

1.Review/Story Elements, Retelling, and Questioning



  

1.OA.7 Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false.
   

Focus: RL 2.2
Recount stories including fables and folktales from diverse cultures, (including American Indian stories) determine their central message, lesson, or moral. 


      


2NBT.3 Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.

     

RI 3.5 Use text features and search tools (key words, sidebars, hyperlinks) to locate information relevant to a given topic efficiently.



  


3.OA.1 Interpret products of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 5x7 as the total number of objects in 5 groups of 7 objects each.  For example, describe a context in which a total number of objects can be expressed as 5x7.
