Virtual Learning Ideas

This week on the blog, I wanted to provide you with some resources that hopefully will make our virtual learning a bit more engaging and exciting for you and your kiddos!

Thank you so much for inviting me to your Google MEETS!  I LOVE seeing your kiddos and being there to witness your amazing teaching.  I found some resources & ideas to help support you!

We Area Teachers has some awesome ideas to help you manage your Google MEETS.  The idea of a mystery call with 2 classes sounds like a lot of fun!

Here are several FREE resources that will help you manage your MEETS:

From The Last Minute Teacher

From Excited to Learn
From Classroom Kindness:

Scholastic just made life easier for teachers by providing us week by week books, videos, and activities for us to use to grow our lessons. I love that I see some science and social studies in each week!  Check it out below!

Here are some of my favorites organized by grade level:
KinderI love that Scholastic provides us with a nonfiction and fiction book for each day! They also have other safe sites listed for students to dig deeper into the world of plants.

1st & 2nd-
Use this lesson to hit your nonfiction reading & science standard of weather and then focus on your fiction reading with Come On, Rain! It is awesome that they also have a Spanish resource for our ELL students!
3rd-Talk about engagement?  Just show this picture and you have them hooked!  This lesson is from week 1 Day 4. They take eating insects to the next level with a comparing fractions lesson too!
Are you looking for some share ideas for Morning Meeting?  Here are 105!
When you are planning your lessons, don't forget about Web Paint!  It is a simple Chrome Extension that you can download so you can mark up websites and worksheets!
