Q1 Week 2 Digital Learning Tips & Tricks!

Happy Friday Patriots!!!!  Thank you all for the amazing work that you have been doing in your virtual classrooms.  Your students are engaged and they are learning!  I know everything seems like it is not ironed out but from an outsider looking in...you all look like rockstars!

I wanted to share a few things with you on the blog this week that will hopefully make things a little easier on the inside!

DuallessI know we have been discussing lots of ways to see you kiddos and still present your screen.  This is so important to gage engagement and focus during the lesson.

Check out this Chrome Extension Dualless!  It is basically the poor man's dual monitor solution.  This extension will split your browser window in to two with just 2 clicks.  You can even choose the ratio of your screen before the split occurs.  Check out the video below to see just how it is done!

The coaches put together a SMORE to help with sharing and splitting your screen too!  You can check it out HERE!

Don't forget about Attention Getters!  They can be used in a virtual classroom just like they would be used in an in-person classroom.  Hop over to TeachingDunnSimply to read all about them and grab her freebie!

Have you checked out your virtual sticker book?  Mrs. Marshall shared them out and we are busily adding stickers with special notes attached to each sticker this week during our pop ins!  Be sure to check your's out!  And take a sneak peek of the week below!

See what I mean??????  Amazing stuff!

Timers: Remember, just like in person teaching, you do NOT have to be talking and teaching during your whole block.  Teach through your mini lessons, set a timer & allow students to work on their own! Check out these free online timers from a Teacher's Bag of Tricks!
These 2 timers are from Youtube!

I am going to end this post with a freebie that will hopefully help those of you that will be teaching at EMIS next week.  Carolyn over at Carolyn's Creative Classroom just posted these door signs so that you hopefully won't be interrupted while recording or teaching a virtual lesson! Be sure to check out her store over on TPT.  She has lots of fun learning goodies for the classroom!
Have a great weekend and make sure you take some time to relax!
