Oh MY! Our walking Community field trip was so much fun. It was a beautiful morning for our walk and the class looked so cute in their Park View T Shirts!
We visited the fire station and the town hall!
We even got to take a turn in the Mayor's Chair!
They worked hard on their handshakes and eye contact!
This week in class, we learned all about turkeys! We even wrote with turkey feather pencils in our writing center!
Here is a fun fact video that we watched to help us research all about turkeys!
In math, we worked on place value to the hundred's place. We are working to represent numbers in Standard Form: 232
Word Form: two hundred thirty two
Expanded Form: 200+30+2
Base Ten: Drawing Base Ten Blocks
We also focused on skip counting by 1s, 10,s and 100s.
You can download some missing number 100 boards for some skill practice HERE. If you are looking for a more challenging activity for home, click HERE for some fun logic puzzles!
I also LOVE Sudoku puzzles! These are great for getting the thinking juices flowing! Here is a fun link to check out from Fun Brain.
Next week, we will be reading Turk and Rut and focusing on Main Idea and details! Here is a video read of the book.
Have a great weekend!
